2002: Matej Jocif, Slowenian competition pilot was the best pilot
on the Czech produced glider during Czech natinal Championship 2002
in Slovenia. He ended the comptiton 4th in overall results, in the Slovenian
natinal ranking he was 3rd. Congratulation!

2002:Let announce that the certification of BRONTES was finalised
by certifying other two missing sizes (S and L). At the moment the sizes
are covering the most usual weight range starting with 65 kg of flight
weight going up to 130 kg.

2002:All the gliders are now supplied with a new, specially
designed rucksack. It is designed to be used with popular "camel
bag" which easily fits and could mounted into the JET series harnesses.
Easy to walk up the hill and have a sip of water and go for your cross
country flight with easy to drink system.

2002: After the introduction of JET PRIMARY the development
goes on. At the moment we have finalised the JET WIT series of harnesses.
JET WIT could be delivered with front, side and back containers.
All the harnesses are supplied with BumpAir 17 cm back protection.

2002: As Brontes
S is slowly gaining its fame and popularity with acro pilots worldwide,
the acro team - that should take part in various acro competitions is
getting bigger and bigger. The latest pilot to join the Sky Acro Team
is Mendo Veljanovski who spent 200 special training hours with BRONTES
in Australia. Good Luck, Mendo, at all the events you are about to take
part!
April 2002: SKY SPARE series remains as you
probably know for the past - very demanding certification, high level
of finishing, zero porosity material by NCV.
On the other hand we come with a cheaper model of SKY
SYSTEM, using AFNOR certification, two sizes only, high porosity material.
The latter model is especially suitable for schooling as it is covering
the major weight range only in two sizes and saves the costs for the
school operators and instructors.
April 2002: Also we have a new series of
harnesses - it uses the traditional name JET and comes to you in two
series JET WIT and PRIMARY. PRIMARY being sold mainly with the front
container, the WIT series offers the wide range of all possible containers
(front, back and side). All harnesses are equipped with DHV certified
protector BUMP AIR (17 cm).

February 2002: ATIS - is a new prototype
flying aleray. This is a DHV 1-2 glider which should be ready for certification
by the end of March. At the moment the number of cells is beind optimise,
we are looking for the best trimming and speed avalable. Also the major
importance is paid the the distinctive flying characteristics that shoud
be - big speed range and extraordinary glide ration for the category.
February 2002: Brontes
S passed the flight tests and M and S size are eady for the paper work
to be fanalised in the DHV office by the end of this month.
January 2002: Load tests for Brontes passed.
The maximum certified weight is 130 kg and is meant for Brones L size
which should be avalable by the end of March.
November 2001: A new glider is released!!!!
Its name is BRONTES, the name comes from Greek word and the meaning
is THUNDER. We all hope that we all manage to thunder in the category
of DHV 2 gliders where it was certified. At the moment size M is available
and we are eagerly waiting for the load tests.
September 2001: After a long development Sky Paragliders announced
a new rescue, which is best described as ONE SIZE FITS ALL. It is available
in two different materials at two price levels. The main advantage for
all those interested that it could be for cross-country and at the same
time for p powered paragliding, for example. The weight range is 80
-130 kgs.
July 2001:Three competition gliders took
part in the WAG 2001. The overall results of the Sky Paragliders could
be seen at http//www.fai.org. Till the end of the season Sky Paragliders
competition team is about to be at various nationals in Europe, later
this season also at National Africa Open.

2001: Statement for FAI Office - This is a short message and results
from the Czech and Slovak paragliding National in Golte, which was registered
as 2nd class competition.
Open
Czech and Slovak paragliding Championship was held in Slovenia, in the
area of Golte from 5.7. till 11.7.
The
firt day it was not possible to fly and therefore the first task was
canceled at 4 PM. On the 6 uly the organizers had to cancel the task,
as well as there was not the minimum 20% of the competitors reaching
the goal.
Next day the weather was not good either: sunny but strong wind (at
the take off 12m/s). On 8 July there was a task of 40,2 km. The other
days the organizers tried to have a valid task but they did not manage
due to bad weather.
June
2001: Let us invite you for Czech and Slovak Open Championship in
paragliding, which will take place in GOLTE (Slovenia). It starts on
5. 7. 2001 and the last day is 11. 7. 2001. The tasks will be held in
the area of Krvavec and Golte (Take off GOLTE- 1350 above sea level
N 46° 22`25.0˝ E 014°54`41.0, landing Zekovac - 350 above sea level
N 46°21`24.0˝ E 014°56´16.0). See the details.

2001: Flare - a new competition
glider of Sky Paragliders passed the DHV load tests and is now completely
ready for the opening PWC season. At the moment it is available in 3
sizes covering 80 to 130 kg take off weight.

2001: Porter - is a new,
very comfortable rucksack for paragliding. It is available in two sizes
(standard and XL) and it is especially suitable for tandem pilots to
pack easily all the stuff and at the same time for the expedition pilots
and "mountain flyers". Porter is easy to carry, easy to pack
and it does not cause bruises.

2001: New competition team of paragliding pilots in Slovenia was
established. And after a couple of days we have new Slovenian (so far
unofficial) records. Pilot Jurij Vidic, 27. 4. 2001, glider: Flare 24,
task: straight distance to a declared goal - Drazgosko Gora (SLO) to
Tolmezzo (It), distance: 100 km. Pilot: Roman Lotric, 2.5.2001, glider
Flare 26, task: distance over a triangular course (take off Soriska
Planina, 1st TP Kobariski Stol, 2nd Spik, goal Soriska Planina), distance
104 km.

2001:Sky Paragliders introduced a new wing FIDES
that will be DHV 1 certified. Two sizes already passed DHV flight and
load tests. The middle size is about to be finished in a few days.
All the pilots appreciate its safety and the performance at the same
time. The design uses the technology of diagonals (LST), it has got
speed system and four risers and after one year of designing it fully
met the designer's idea - not to make a simple DHV 1 glider but a wing
that will you give the chance to enjoy even cross country flying and
feel all the benefits of the free even at your first flights.
